LiGA Summit History
LiGA Summit 2025
The first LiGA Summit was held on August 6–7, 2025 in Lima, Peru. Eventus International positioned it as a platform for discussing the growth of iGaming and sports betting in Latin America amid regulatory changes in the Peruvian market.
The 2025 program included a conference, an exhibition, and networking sessions at the end of each day. Key topics included LatAm regulation, shifts in the iGaming and sports betting market, affiliate marketing, technology, and the use of AI in gaming, with a strong focus on business opportunities in Peru and other countries in the region.
Lima was chosen because of the changes to online gambling regulation in Peru. For more on the local market, licensing, and how to operate in the country, see our Peru iGaming market overview.
LiGA Summit 2026
LiGA Summit returned to Lima on September 17–18, 2026, again at El Pardo Lima – A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. The agenda was more practical, centered on operating in Peru's regulated market and on iGaming growth across Latin America.
Day one covered the new era of licensing in Peru, cooperation between regulators across the region, the link between regulation and commercial growth, and the rise of creator affiliates. Promotion through TikTok, YouTube, and short-form video was a recurring theme. For a broader look at traffic channels, see our guide to iGaming promotion methods.
Day two focused on compliance and security: AML and KYC in digital betting, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, responsible marketing, and player protection. The agenda also included sessions on diversity and on the land-based and omnichannel segments.
Prediction Markets Summit Americas ran as a half-day track on day two, covering prediction markets, forecasting infrastructure, and event-based products in Latin America. Discussions touched on regulation, market integrity, fraud prevention, user experience, and the use of AI.
After the event, the organizers highlighted discussions on cybersecurity, player protection, behavioral analytics, affordability checks, and early risk detection. Compared with the inaugural edition, the 2026 program broadened its scope: beyond market growth, it addressed the practical side of operating in a regulated environment.
