Scandinavian & Nordic Gaming Show 2026: Complete Guide to Scandinavia’s Key iGaming Conference
The Scandinavian and Nordic region holds a unique position on the global iGaming map. In terms of gambling expenditure per capita, Scandinavia ranks among the world’s leading regions, offering strong revenue potential for online gambling and other gaming verticals. History of the Scandinavian & Nordic Gaming Show
The first Scandinavian Gaming Show took place in Stockholm, Sweden, on September 5–6, 2018, at Stockholmsmässan. The timing was strategic: Sweden was undergoing a major gambling regulatory reform, creating strong demand for a dedicated platform to discuss the upcoming rules, opportunities, and risks.
The inaugural event was a clear success, bringing together professionals from across the gambling sector. Key topics included upcoming Swedish regulation, cooperation between regulators and operators, responsible gambling and player protection, as well as strategies for succeeding in the newly regulated market.
The 3rd annual Scandinavian Gaming Show took place on September 9–10, 2021, in Stockholm, Sweden. That same year, the event was combined with iGaming Germany, creating a joint format that brought together a broader European audience under one roof.
From 2022 onwards, the conference became a regular fixture in the autumn iGaming calendar, alternating between Copenhagen and Stockholm. By 2025, SNGS had reached its 7th edition and established itself as a leading recurring forum for professionals working across the Nordic iGaming sector. As the global iGaming industry continues to look to the region for growth opportunities, SNGS has become a valuable platform for businesses interested in gaining market insights, exploring commercial opportunities, and keeping up with the latest industry developments.
