The EuroLeague is an annual competition of European professional men's basketball clubs. Turkish Airlines is the sponsor of the EuroLeague tournament. The sponsorship contract with the airline has been extended until 2025. The EuroLeague is considered by many to be the pinnacle of European club basketball, where the best teams compete for the title of champion. Moreover, this tournament brings together not only the professionalism and skill of the players. It also attracts the passion and emotion of all European fans.
EuroLeague 2026/27
The 2026/27 EuroLeague season will start on September 29, 2026, and will be the second season with 20 teams participating in the tournament. The regular season will run until April 16, 2027, followed by the play-in and playoffs. The Final Four is scheduled for May 21–23, 2027.
Participants
The 2026/27 EuroLeague season will feature 20 teams. Participants include leading European basketball clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Fenerbahçe Beko, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, AS Monaco, Anadolu Efes, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Paris Basketball.
Fenerbahçe Beko will enter the new season as the reigning champion after winning the title in the 2024/25 season. Other major contenders for the championship include Real Madrid, Panathinaikos, Olympiacos, Barcelona and other leading European clubs.

During the regular season, each team will play 38 games — once at home and once away against every opponent. At the end of the regular season, the top teams will qualify directly for the playoffs, while clubs finishing in the play-in positions will compete for the remaining quarterfinal spots.
As in the previous season, there will be no third-place game. The EuroLeague champion will be determined in the Final Four championship game.
History of the Competition
The history of Europe's leading club basketball competition dates back to 1958, when the first European Champions Cup was held. The tournament continued to evolve and received its modern name, EuroLeague, in 2000.
Over the decades, the EuroLeague has become one of the most prestigious club basketball competitions in the world. The tournament has featured legendary players and teams, with Real Madrid, CSKA Moscow, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Panathinaikos and Olympiacos among its most successful clubs.
Today's EuroLeague brings together the strongest clubs in Europe and combines a long regular season with the play-in, playoffs and Final Four.

In the 2025/26 season, Fenerbahçe Beko won the EuroLeague title again, confirming its status as one of the strongest clubs in European basketball.
In the 2024/25 season, the Turkish club also became champions, winning the Final Four in Abu Dhabi. In 2023/24, Panathinaikos claimed the title, securing the seventh EuroLeague championship in the club's history.
EuroLeague 2027/28
The next EuroLeague season after the 2026/27 campaign will take place in 2027/28. The exact dates of the regular season, list of participants and Final Four venue will be determined and announced later.
