Russian Women’s Volleyball Cup in Memory of Givi Akhvlediani

The Russian Cup among women's volleyball teams in memory of Honoured Coach of the USSR Givi Akhvlediani is the national annual women's volleyball championship which was first held in 1993.

The competition among men's volleyball teams is called the Russian Volleyball Cup in memory of Konstantin Reva, and has been held annually since 1993.

2026 Russian Volleyball Cup in Memory of Givi Akhvlediani

The 2025/2026 Givi Akhvlediani Memorial Russian Women's Volleyball Cup concluded on 3 May 2026. The final stage of the tournament, known as the "Final Six", was held from 28 April to 3 May at the Dynamo Sports Palace in Moscow, Russia.

The competition traditionally consisted of a preliminary stage followed by the final round, in which the six strongest teams were divided into two groups. The group winners advanced directly to the semi-finals, followed by the medal matches.

Tournament Winner

Zarechie-Odintsovo won the 2026 Givi Akhvlediani Memorial Russian Women's Volleyball Cup, claiming the club's seventh title in the history of the competition.

History of the Cup

The first Russian Women's Volleyball Cup was held in 1993. In 2009, the tournament was renamed in honour of the legendary coach Givi Akhvlediani, a two-time Olympic champion as head coach of the USSR women's national team and a member of the International Volleyball Hall of Fame.

The tournament format has changed several times over the years. Different editions have featured both a "Final Four" and a "Final Six" format. Today, the competition includes a preliminary stage and a final round featuring the country's top teams.

Dynamo-Ak Bars Kazan is the most successful club in the history of the tournament, having won the Cup seven times.
